John J. Elliott, President and CEO
John co-founded Elliott Marketing Group (EMG) in 1999 with the mission of helping customers develop and execute more effective direct response campaigns by focusing on their target, offer, tests, and response and relationship management processes.

Prior to founding EMG, John was Sr. Vice President of Database Marketing for DMW Worldwide, direct response advertising agency specializing in the insurance, healthcare, financial services, energy, communications, and non-profit sectors. While at DMW Worldwide, John was responsible for creating the database marketing and data mining division, making it one of the agency’s most profitable businesses in 1998.

Before joining DMW Worldwide, John was responsible for Retail Marketing and Underwriting at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. At Highmark, he was a key contributor in turning around the consumer lines of business from a $25 million loss in 1992 to a $25 million profit in 1996. He was responsible for creating the direct response and telemarketing sales channels at Highmark and played a key role in launching SecurityBlue, now one of the largest Medicare Risk HMOs in the U.S.

John also founded Promises Kept, a catalog targeted to the “sandwich generation” segment of the mature market. (The “sandwich generation” is made up primarily of women in their early fifties who are actively involved with their adult children, their grandchildren, and the care of their own elderly parents or other relatives.) Promises Kept, featuring products relating to health, exercise, and home comfort, achieved $5.3 million in sales in its second full year, before being sold in 1993.

He has addressed conferences hosted by Opera America, Dance/USA, League of Resident Theatres, INTIX, American Symphony Orchestra League, Direct Marketing Association, National Center for Database Marketing, Tessitura, BlueCross BlueShield Association, American Society on Aging, National Association of Senior Living Industries and others.

John received his B.A. in English and Psychology from Lehigh University, an M.S. in Exceptional Education from State University College at Buffalo, and an M.B.A. from SUNY at Buffalo.

Jane L. Elliott, Vice President
Jane co-founded Elliott Marketing Group in 1999 with her husband, John.  From 1990 to 1999, Jane provided freelance writing and project management services, with special expertise in catalog production management, through her own company, Elliott Communications. Jane’s clients included Fisher Scientific (Safety Products Division), Westinghouse Specialty Metals Plant, Union Switch & Signal, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the Promises Kept catalog.

Before starting Elliott Communications, Jane worked as a project manager for Black Box Corporation, one of the largest business-to-business catalogs in the data communications sector. Her responsibilities included the LAN (Local Area Network) and EAZY (reseller) catalogs.

Jane manages all human resource activities, including company benefits and payroll; client billing; and vendor relations.

Jane received her B.A. and M.A. in English from Case Western Reserve University, an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville) and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.

Becky Elliott, Chief Operating Officer
Becky Elliott joined Elliott Marketing Group in 2001. She played an integral role in the creation of collaborative databases in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Erie, Milwaukee, and St. Louis and has managed projects for clients in New York, Chicago, and Washington, DC. Becky is responsible for daily operations at Elliott Marketing Group, including scheduling, model building, technology development, and creation and delivery of direct marketing files and analyses.

Prior to joining Elliott Marketing Group, Becky worked as a Psychological Support Scientist at Wyle Laboratories, a NASA contractor. She coordinated the Family Support Office (FSO) and provided statistical analysis for FSO projects. Becky supported all behavioral health activities related to long duration flight such as astronaut selection, training, and in-flight support.

Becky received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rice University in 1999 where she was given the William C. Howell Award for Outstanding Contributions to Psychological Research.
